Japanese Post Offices in China 1901 1½s ultramarine post card sent from Yangtsun to Lübeck, Germany and up-rated with singles of each the 5r gray, 1s red-brown and 2s green of the first issue Scott nos. 1, 3 and 6, all tied by the Yangtsun I.J.PO. c.d.s. in black showing a striking variety in the form of the entire date INVERTED in respect to the rest of the postmark, transit and arrival c.d.s. on the front and full correspondence on the back, generally good condition despite some corner faults on the 5r and 1s stamps (at upper-left in both cases), a scarce and colourful franking.  500  400 Make an offer

Mongolia (+China) 1930 red-band envelope sent to China and franked with a 25m yellow-green and black Scott no. 39 tied by the very rare Jabholanto c.d.s. in black, alongside another strike of the same on the front, a vertical pair of the Chinese 4c olive-green Junk issue of 1926 Scott no. 275 has been applied on the front as postage due and tied by Chinese c.d.s., overall very good condition and a very attractive example of this rare cancellation used on cover.  500  425 Bidding closed

Philippines 1899 envelope addressed to Manila and bearing singles of the 1m, 2m, 3m and 5m orange-brown values of the 1898 King Alfonso XIII definitive issue Scott nos. 192-194 and 195 respectively, all showing the extremely rare black overprint “C. 1898 RESELLADO 1899 T.” and all in perfect condition, back flap missing otherwise fault-free and very fresh, signed by A. Thailand 1909 envelope of the German Telegram Service used locally within Bangkok and franked with a single of the 2s on 1a Scott no. 128 tied by neat c.d.s. in black dated “2-11.09”, arrival c.d.s. on the back is dated “3-11.09”, the cover has most probably travelled opened (containing some business card perhaps?), perfect condition throughout and quite rare, also very decorative.  300  250 Bidding closed

Thailand 1913 large envelope sent registered from Bangkok to Friedrichsort, Germany and bearing a very colourful 62s franking made up of a pair of the 3s green and a single of the 14s blue of the 1910 definitives issue Scott nos. 140 and 143, together with singles of the 2s, 12s and 28s respectively of the 1912 issue Scott nos. 145, 148 and 150, the general condition of the cover is very good with only a small crease of the envelope affecting the 28s stamp, a scarce and delightful cover of great appeal.  750  600 Make an offer

Thailand 1924 large-format envelope sent registered from Bangkok to Detroit, MI, United States and showing a superb three-colour franking of the 1920-26 King Vajiravudh definitives issue made up of a pair of the 3s green, a single of the 5s rose and a strip of six of the 15s blue, Scott nos. 188, 190 and 194, the cover also shows the scarce US postal handstamp “SUPPOSED LIABLE TO CUSTOMS DUTIES”, as well as the “DUTY FREE” indication applied after inspection, some faults and the cover has been reduced on three sides, yet a very colourful and delightful cover of superb aspect and significant scarcity.  225  190 Bidding closed
