Argentina – Buenos Aires 1862 (?) folded cover sent to San Nicolás de los Arroyos and franked with a spectacular single of the 1p rose Scott no. 12 with large to huge margins all around and showing a striking plate flaw in the upper right corner (part of the design missing), impeccable condition throughout and a very fresh and well preserved cover, the plate flaw making it that more interesting and perhaps even unique.  900  700 Make an offer

Argentina – Corrientes 1863 complete folded cover sent from Mercedes to Goya and franked with two singles of the 3c black on blue obtained by applying a pen stroke through “UN REAL M.C.” Scott no. 2, both cancelled with pen cancellation and both with huge margins all around, incredibly fresh and in sublime condition in all respects, entirely free from any faults whatsoever, which makes this already immensely rare cover even more appealing, 2008 Pascal Scheller certificate of authenticity accompanies, one of the top rarities of Corrientes and without doubt a most important item of classical philately in general.  4000  3200 Make an offer

El Salvador 1887 mourning letter sent from Sonsonate to Berlin, Germany and franked with a 1c green of the 1879 issue Scott no. 13 together with two singles of the 5c blue of the same issue, Scott no. 15, all of them tied by indistinct obliterator in violet, departure c.d.s. dated “JUN 4 1887” is present alongside, Panama and New York transit postmarks on both front and back, the stamps are absolutely fault-free and the cover is in fine condition as well, 1996 Peter Holcombe certificate of authenticity accompanies, a rare cover of marvellous aspect and still very undervalued in respect to its actual rarity.  500  400 Make an offer

Guatemala 1936 air mail envelope sent to Hamburg, Germany by the “Hindenburg” Zeppelin which was to stop in New York at the time, bearing a massive and very colourful franking made up of no less than 22 examples of the 1c, 2c, 3c, 5c, 10c, 15c and 30c respectively of the 1935-37 air mail issue inscribed “EXTERIOR” and overprinted with Quetzal in green, Scott nos. C47-C49, C52, C54, C56 and C62, together with the 5c carmine (oxidised) of 1929 Scott no. 238 and the 1c olive-green postal tax stamp Scott no. RA2, various cancellations and cachets on both sides and extremely appealing in all respects, virtually perfect condition except for two small faults on two stamps, 2000 Dieter Leder certificate of authenticity accompanies, a most probably UNIQUE COVER and without doubt one of the most important air mail covers of this entire country, and indeed a gem for any serious air mail collection in general.  1200  950 Make an offer

Hawaii 1884 2c black UPU post card up-rated with a single 1c green Scott no. 42 and sent to Reichenberg, Austria through the Oceanic Steamship Company of San Francisco, both stamps are cancelled by the rare maritime cancellation “”N.Z.
