Great Britain 1853 printed matter (circular) of a (probably) British company but which was written (and originated) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, dated inside June 15th, 1853 and addressed to London, mailed in the London General Post Office, franked with a 1d red-brown with good to huge margins all around and carried through the London Post at the end of August, 1853, opened for inspection in order to check whether it met the Penny Postage requirements, the circular was probably carried to London privately, file fold going through the stamp but otherwise very fine, with 2003 Briefmarkenprüfstelle Basel certificate of authenticity, a rare and fascinating postal history item. | € 600 | € 475 | Make an offer |

Great Britain 1855 folded letter sent from Cheltenham to Kornthal, Germany and franked with an embossed 6d dull lilac SG no. 59 cut-to-shape together with a perf. 2d blue from Plate 4 SG no. 23, both of them in perfect condition and the 6d with unusually large margins for a cut-to-shape example, very fresh, the cover has some small flaws on the back, yet most presentable and not common, 2007 Karl-Albert Louis certificate of authenticity accompanies, a lovely item. | € 260 | € 200 | Make an offer |
